City and Islington College Location

City and Islington College – in the heart of London

You'll find City and Islington College in the cosmopolitan borough of Islington, right in the heart of London. It enjoys easy access to a fantastic range of interesting local facilities, and is proud to be a close neighbour of the world famous Arsenal Football Club.

Being in the heart of London, all of the city's famous attractions are only a tube-ride away:

With an eclectic music scene, Islington boasts a number of popular local venues hosting regular student-friendly events, including the O2 Academy, Highbury Garage and Buffalo Bar. And if you are looking for friendly bars, pubs and restaurants, just take a walk down Upper Street – there is more than enough there to keep you well entertained and well-fed.

For a quieter night, try the famous Screen on the Green – one of London's finest art-house cinemas. Here you can enjoy both classic and alternative cinema.

Being very much part of the capital city, Islington has all the essential shops and services you will ever need, including supermarkets, banks and pharmacies. And when you need something a little less ordinary, you’ll find plenty of quirky boutiques and independent retailers to keep you happy.

Near and far

Nearby you will find Camden, a unique part of town – great for going out shopping, eating and drinking. You can browse around the bustling markets, which sell everything from books to vintage clothing, and you can have a gentle walk along the tranquil and picturesque Regent's Canal, or around Regent’s Park, where you’ll also find London Zoo.

If you feel like heading out of London for a day trip, you couldn't be better placed. The historic university towns of Oxford and Cambridge, as well as the seaside resort of Brighton are all less than an hour away by train. And take the Eurostar out of London St Pancras International, and you can be in mainland Europe in just a few hours.

City and Islington College – closer to home

No matter where you come from, you never have to feel too far away from home. London's five airports – Heathrow, Stansted, Gatwick, Luton and City – offer worldwide connections, all with regular transfers to central London.
