What is the course about?
The Music BTEC Extended Diploma course will enable you to develop as a musician and performer, as well as giving you an insight into how the music industry operates.
You will learn about all areas of popular/contemporary music performance and production, including music technology, studio skills, theory, harmony, listening skills, and composition. In addition, you will study historical and cultural studies, and music in the community.
On the Music BTEC Extended Diploma course, you will also enjoy regular opportunities to perform your work in the fully-equipped College theatre and a range of external venues.
What do I need to get on the course?
- To be aged 16-18 on the first day of the course
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent per year
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
How much does it cost?
The Music BTEC Extended Diploma course costs £6,500 per year. You will be required to pay a deposit of £3,000 before you enrol, and complete your payment after you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
