What is the course about?
The Applied Science (Laboratory and Industrial) BTEC Extended Diploma course prepares you for undergraduate degrees and careers in a wide range of scientific subjects, such as biomedical science, pharmacy and pharmaceutical science.
You will study units in biological, chemical and physical sciences. With an emphasis on projects and assignments based on realistic situations and activities, you will develop a range of practical laboratory skills.
You will also take part in visits to industry and places of scientific interest.
What do I need to get on the course?
- To be aged 16-18 on the first day of the course
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Science and Mathematics, or equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
How much does it cost?
The Applied Science (Laboratory and Industrial) BTEC Extended Diploma course £6,500 per year. You will be required to pay a deposit of £3,000 before you enrol, and complete your payment after you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
