What is the course about?
The IT Practitioners (Games and Software) BTEC Extended Diploma course focuses on gaming development and technologies, including programme design and practical programming skills.
Following this course, you can progress to a range of undergraduate degrees, including IT, software development, multimedia and software design.
You will cover a range of subjects from computer systems through to computer games platforms, iPhone/iPad programming and Microsoft XNA games programming.
What do I need to get on the course?
- To be aged 16-18 on the first day of the course
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Science and Mathematics, or equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
- A satisfactory portfolio of work
