What is the course about?
The course is for individuals who wish to enter or progress in the photography industry.
This is a part time course in professional photography and related design techniques and skills. It is a vocational course delivered with industry participation that aims to increase employability.
You will study industry level skills in commercial and advertising photography, including studio and location work. You will also study computer skills in Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and
After Effects.
You will complete a range of modules, including:
- Professional Practice in Art and Design
- Contextual and Cultural Referencing in Art and Design
- Ideas Generation and Development in Art and Design
- Digital Image Creation and Development
- Digital Media Design
- Photographic Techniques.
What do I need to get on the course?
160 UCAS points from the following:
A Levels in a related subject at Grade C
As well as:
- A portfolio of relevant work.
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Mathemtics and English
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
What can I do after the course?
You will be able to apply for an advanced stage of an Honours Undergraduate Degree or further professional qualification. You will also be able to seek employment in the sector.
How much does it cost?
The HND in Photography course £6,500. You will be required to pay a deposit of £3,000 before you enrol, and complete your payment once you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
