What is the course about?
The IT Practitioners BTEC Extended Diploma course covers a range of IT subjects, preparing you for further study and a career in IT, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or Software Design.
You will study modules including Website Authoring, Organisational Systems Security, E-commerce, Multimedia Design and Communication Technologies.
As well as expanding your analytical and problem-solving capabilities, you will develop valuable interpersonal and team-working skills. You will also apply the skills you acquire to a project in which you will specify, design, implement and evaluate an application that fulfils a business requirement.
What do I need to get on the course?
- To be aged 16-18 on the first day of the course
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Science per year and Mathematics, or equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
How much does it cost?
The IT Practitioners BTEC Extended Diploma course costs £6,500 per year. You will be required to pay a deposit of £3,000 before you enrol, and complete your payment after you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
