What is the course about?
The Fashion and Clothing BTEC Extended Diploma course prepares you for further study and a career in the fashion industry.
The course gives you practical skills in textiles, fashion design, pattern-cutting and garment construction. You will also learn skills in drawing and computer-aided design.
You will work on a variety of projects for your final collection, which culminates in the College’s end of year show. These include research projects, and exhibition and museum visits.
What do I need to get on the course?
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including an per year Art/Textiles related subject, or equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
- A satisfactory portfolio of work
- To be aged 16-18 on the first day of the course
How much does it cost?
The Fashion and Clothing BTEC Extended Diploma course costs £6,500 per year. You will be required to pay a deposit of £3,000 before you enrol, and complete your payment after you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
