What is the course about?
The Art and Design (Textiles with Fashion) BTEC Foundation Diploma course develops your art and design skills for textiles and fashion. These will help you enter a range of related undergraduate degrees leading to a career in the fashion industry.
You will learn a wide range of techniques and skills, including drawing and painting, pattern cutting and garment construction, fabric manipulation and construction, as well as colour work, fashion design and research.
You will also explore ground-breaking and experimental textile and fashion techniques.
What do I need to get on the course?
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or 1 A Level and 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
- A satisfactory portfolio of work
How much does it cost?
The Art and Design (Textiles with Fashion) BTEC Foundation Diploma course costs £6,500 per year. You will be required to pay a deposit of £3,000 before you enrol, and complete your payment after you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
