What is the course about?
The Art and Design BTEC Extended Diploma course enables you to progress to university and pursue a career in art and/or design.
You will learn new skills and gain experience in a number of specialist techniques and approaches, including drawing, printmaking, sculpture, digital design, textiles and photography. You will also develop your creative potential and improve your understanding of visual language.
Throughout the course, you will engage in practical workshops, lectures, debates, gallery visits and independent research.
What do I need to get on the course?
- To be aged 16-18 on the first day of the course
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including an Art subject, or equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
- A satisfactory portfolio of work
How much does it cost?
The Art and Design BTEC Extended Diploma course costs £6,500 per year. You will be required to pay a deposit of £3,000 before you enrol, and complete your payment after you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
