What is the course about?
The Animal Management BTEC Extended Diploma course gives you the knowledge and skills you need to progress to a range of undergraduate degrees and careers, from veterinary nursing and zoology, to conservation and environmental science.
Who is the course for?
The Animal Management BTEC Extended Diploma course is for students who want a career in animal management or science, but do not currently meet the standard requirements to enter on to an undergraduate degree at university directly.
What do I need to get on the course?
- 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Science and Mathematics, or the equivalent
- IELTS 5.5 (with at least 5.0 in each component,) or equivalent
What will I study?
This exciting programme includes lots of practical work, as well as field trips to conservation areas, farms and zoos. You will study a range of topics including animal health and nutrition, biology, conservation, behaviour, and genetics. You will also undertake an extended research project.
What qualification will I get?
On successful completion of the Animal Management BTEC Extended Diploma course, you will receive a BTEC Extended Diploma in Animal Management.
What can I do after the course?
Following the course, you can apply to a range of universities to study one of a range of undergraduate degrees.
How much does it cost?
The Animal Management BTEC Extended Diploma course costs £6,325 per year. You need to pay a deposit of £3,000 before enrolment, and complete your payment once you have enrolled. The fee includes your tuition, but does not include any accommodation, living or travel expenses.
