Applying for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Courses

This section outlines the process from your initial application for EFL courses, to enrolment at City and Islington College.

  1. Complete the online application form below.
  2. Send a copy of your passport / visa, and a recent photograph of yourself to the College. Click here for where to send these to.
  3. You will be asked to pay the full cost of the course (for all Summer School, Pre-sessional, and Term Time courses of 1 term or less) or a deposit (for courses of more than 1 term).
  4. When payment is received, the College will issue an Acceptance Letter, which you will need to apply for your Student Visitor Visa (if required).
  5. Apply for your visa.
  6. Notify the College of the result of your visa application as soon as you hear.
  7. If your visa application is successful, the College will send you information about starting your course.
  8. When you enrol at the College, you will need to provide:
    • Payment of any outstanding course fees
    • Original passport / visa
    • Original recent photograph
